and legal experts will work to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmj.com\/content\/360\/bmj.k763\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">introduce a cap on the amount that lawyers can recover in clinical negligence cases<\/a>, the Department of Health and Social Care has announced.\u00a0The proposed cap would apply to all cases up to \u00a325\u2009000 and could save the NHS \u00a345m a year, it said.\u00a0There is currently no limit on legal costs that can be recouped from clinical negligence claims.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>NIHR Signals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The National Institute for Health Research has
