The case study features key learning points, explores how the trust overcame certain challenges, and highlights a number of additional resources which may be useful to organisations looking to develop an approach to workforce retention.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Regulation in the NHS<\/strong><br \/>\nNHS Providers has published <a href=\"http:\/\/nhsproviders.org\/the-changing-nature-of-regulation-in-the-nhs\">The changing nature of regulation in the NHS<\/a>.\u00a0 This report is based on a survey which explores trusts\u2019 experiences of the current regulatory approach by NHS Improvement and the Care Quality Commission.\u00a0 Trusts were also asked about their experiences of moving to local system collaboration through STPs and integrated care systems and the implications of local systems working for the regulatory framework.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Cancer Taskforce progress<\/strong><br \/>\nPublic Health England has published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/cancer-taskforce-recommendations-progress-report\">PHE progress report on the Independent Cancer Taskforce recommendations<\/a>.\u00a0 This document outlines Public Health England\u2019s progress on strategic priorities identified in the Independent Cancer Taskforce report.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Personal health budgets<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Department of Health and Social Care has launched a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/consultations\/personal-health-budgets-and-integrated-personal-budgets-extending-legal-rights\">consultation on extending legal rights to have for personal health budges and integrated personal budgets<\/a>.\u00a0 The consultation seeks views on giving more people the right to have personal health budgets and integrated personal budgets and whether individuals would welcome the opportunity to incorporate additional funding streams into integrated personal budgets.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Approved costing guidance<\/strong><br \/>\nNHS Improvement has published \/ refreshed the following <a href=\"https:\/\/improvement.nhs.uk\/resources\/approved-costing-guidance-standards\/\">costing guidance documents<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Healthcare costing standards \u2013 mental health: information requirements and costing processes (new)<\/li>\n<li>Ambulance standards and the accompanying technical document (refresh)<\/li>\n<li>Acute costing approaches and technical document (refresh)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Statistics<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/statistics\/community-services-statistics-for-children-young-people-and-adults-december-2017\">Community Services Statistics for Children, Young People and Adults<\/a> &#8211;
