A rise in the number of healthcare staff who have wireless internet access<\/a> is “good but not good enough”, according to the organiser of a survey on NHS wi-fi<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A report <\/a>into intermediate care, which is provided to patients either when they leave hospital or are at risk of being sent to hospital, has found that capacity must double to meet increasing demand due to an aging population.<\/p>\n

The RCN has published new guidance<\/a> to help health care workers deal with feedback, concerns, complaints and compliments.<\/p>\n

NHS hospitals collect a wealth of administrative data covering accident and emergency (A&E) department attendances, inpatient and day case activity, and outpatient appointments. Duty of candour and fit and proper person for directors –\u00a0NHS Employers\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

On 11 November 2014, the Government published the fundamental standards regulations, and confirmed that the duty of candour and the fit and proper person requirements for directors<\/a> will come into effect for all NHS bodies (including NHS trusts and Foundation Trusts) from 27 November, 2014. These two new requirements will be extended to all other health and care providers required to register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) from April 2014 (still subject to Parliamentary approval).<\/p>\n
