It also warns that an ageing infrastructure, together with a substantial and growing repairs backlog, is likely to undermine ambitions to transform the health service, including plans to improve cancer survival and make the NHS a world-leader in technology-driven care.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Patient safety collaboratives<\/strong><br \/>\nThe King\u2019s Fund has published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ahsnnetwork.com\/kings-fund-report-pscs\/\">Improving patient safety through collaboration: a rapid review of the academic health science networks\u2019 patient safety collaboratives<\/a>.\u00a0 This report examines the progress and impact made by England\u2019s Patient Safety Collaboratives in their first four years.\u00a0 It explores what has worked best in particular circumstances, what practices might be applied more consistently across the collaboratives, and what further learning is needed to increase their effectiveness.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Commissioning for Quality and Innovation: CQUIN guidance for 2019-2020<\/strong><br \/>\nNHS England has published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/publication\/commissioning-for-quality-and-innovation-cquin-guidance-for-2019-2020\/\">Commissioning for Quality and Innovation (CQUIN) Guidance for 2019-2020<\/a>.\u00a0 This document sets out the Commissioning for Quality and Innovation (CQUIN) scheme for 2019 \u2013 2020.\u00a0 It is accompanied by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/publication\/ccg-cquin-2019-20-indicators-specifications\/\">CCG CQUIN 2019\/20 Indicators Specifications<\/a> which sets out the technical specification for each of the indicators in the scheme.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>NHS Standard Contract<\/strong><br \/>\nNHS England has now published the final <a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/nhs-standard-contract\/19-20\/\">NHS Standard Contract and Contract Technical Guidance for 2019\/20<\/a>.\u00a0 The response to consultation document <a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/publication\/nhs-standard-contract-2019-20-summary-of-key-changes-made-in-response-to-consultation-feedback\/\">summarises the key changes made in the final Contract and Guidance<\/a> in response to stakeholder feedback received during the recent consultation process.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Social prescribing<\/strong><br \/>\nPublic Health England has published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/social-prescribing-applying-all-our-health\">Social prescribing: applying All Our Health<\/a>.\u00a0 This resource supports health professionals prevent ill health and promote wellbeing as part of their practice. It includes guidance on understanding local needs and measuring impact.\u00a0 It also recommends actions that managers and staff holding strategic roles can take.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Primary care commissioning activity<\/strong><br \/>\nNHS England has published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/publication\/2018-19-primary-care-commissioning-activity-report-guidance-notes-for-completion\/\">2018\/19 Primary Care Commissioning Activity Report: Guidance notes for completion<\/a>.\u00a0 This guidance supports the completion of the Primary Care Commissioning report (PCAR).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Flash glucose monitoring<\/strong><br \/>\nNHS England has published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/publication\/flash-glucose-monitoring-national-arrangements-for-funding-of-relevant-diabetes-patients\/\">Flash Glucose Monitoring: National arrangements for funding of relevant diabetes patients<\/a>.\u00a0 This guidance document sets out the criteria for flash glucose monitoring and the maximum amounts CCGs will reimburse for the ongoing costs of flash glucose sensors. practice<\/a>.\u00a0 This guide provides generic, practical advice for responsible officers to address a potential concern about a doctor\u2019s practice in a manner consistent with existing literature and previously established principles.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Public satisfaction with the NHS and social care<\/strong><br \/>\nThe King\u2019s Fund and Nuffield Trust have published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingsfund.org.uk\/publications\/public-satisfaction-nhs-social-care-2018\">Public satisfaction with the NHS and social care in 2018: results from the British Social Attitudes survey.<\/a>\u00a0 This document presents the results of a survey of 2,926 members of the public about their satisfaction with the NHS overall, and 973 people about their satisfaction with individual NHS and social care services.\u00a0 The results indicate satisfaction with the NHS sits at its lowest level for more than a decade, driven by concerns about a lack of money, staff shortages and
