\nNHS England has published Independent review of national screening programmes in England: interim report of emerging findings<\/a>.\u00a0 This interim report sets out the emerging findings of Professor Sir Mike Richards review of national screening programmes.\u00a0 Although this report sets out preliminary findings it makes two clear recommendations: the halting of the decline in the proportion of eligible women taking up breast and cervical screening and that national stakeholders must take action now to ensure IT systems for GP registrations and screening are fit for purpose.\u00a0 The final report and recommendations will be published later this year.<\/p>\n

\nThe Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch has published Investigation into recognising and responding to critically unwell patients<\/a>. The report recommends tackling the recognition and response to deteriorating patients with the same national approach driving improvement in identifying and treating sepsis. The report includes safety recommendations to The Royal College of Physicians and NHS England\/NHS Improvement.<\/p>\n

\nThe Royal College of Nursing and Health Education England have launched the Nursing Careers Resource<\/a> to help registered nurses and the clinical support workforce plan their health careers effectively.\u00a0 The website provides a range of ideas about the varying roles available.<\/p>\n

\nThis guidance <\/a>allows NHS trusts and foundation trusts to apply for the transfer of ownership of properties on their estate. This is where property on a trust\u2019s estate belongs to NHS Property Services and community health partnerships. The change recognises that, in many cases, NHS trusts are best placed to judge how to use their estate to benefit the local community.<\/p>\n

\nThis paper <\/a>sets out new research and policy proposals which aim to address the growing crisis in social care. Its recommendations aim to improve the efficiency of health and social care services in England by joining up health and social care policy and delivering a more preventative model of care. They also aim to advance the physical and mental health of those with social care needs by ensuring that everyone \u2013 regardless of means \u2013 receives adequate and appropriate support.<\/p>\n
