They describe what local health and care systems can do to transform elective care services at pace, why this is necessary and how the impact of this transformation can be measured. They also contain practical guidance for implementing and adopting a range of interventions to ensure patients see the right person, in the right place, first time.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/publication\/transforming-elective-care-services-respiratory\/\">Transforming elective care services: respiratory<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/publication\/transforming-elective-care-services-gynaecology\/\">Transforming elective care services: gynaecology<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/publication\/transforming-elective-care-services-general-surgery\/\">Transforming elective care services: general surgery<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Children and young people\u2019s cancer services<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NHS England has launched two consultations seeking views on proposed changes to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.engage.england.nhs.uk\/consultation\/childrens-cancer-services\/\">Children\u2019s cancer services<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.engage.england.nhs.uk\/consultation\/teenager-and-young-adults-cancer-services\/\">Teenager and Young Adults Cancer Services<\/a>. The aim of the revised service specifications is to improve the outcomes and experience of children, teenagers and young adults with cancer. The consultations close on 4 August 2019.\u00a0 Additional link: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/blog\/share-your-ambitions-for-the-future\/\">NHS England blog<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Interim NHS People Plan &#8211; summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Healthcare Financial Management Association has published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hfma.org.uk\/publications\/details\/summary-of-the-interim-nhs-people-plan\">Summary of the Interim NHS People Plan<\/a>. This briefing summarises the key points across the five key areas of the interim plan \u2013 making the NHS the best place to work; improving the leadership culture; tackling the nursing challenge; delivering 21st century care; and a new operating model for workforce.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>NICE Surveillance Reports<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NICE has published the Surveillance Reports below.
