{"id":13962,"date":"2019-10-07T14:24:02","date_gmt":"2019-10-07T13:24:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lihnnhs.info\/Sando\/?p=13962"},"modified":"2019-10-07T14:24:02","modified_gmt":"2019-10-07T13:24:02","slug":"knowledge-lert-for-monday-7th-october","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lihnnhs.info\/Sando\/2019\/10\/07\/knowledge-lert-for-monday-7th-october\/","title":{"rendered":"Knowledge @lert for Monday 7th October"},"content":{"rendered":"<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Every Mind Matters<\/strong><br \/>\nPublic Health England has launched England\u2019s first NHS campaign to improve mental health literacy.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/oneyou\/every-mind-matters\/\">Every Mind Matters<\/a> is designed to help people take simple steps to look after their mental health, improve their mental wellbeing and support others.\u00a0 The new platform will enable people to create a personalised action plan recommending a set of self-care actions to deal with stress, boost mood, improve sleep and feel in control.\u00a0 A film to promote Every Mind Matters showing how we can all look after our mental health will be aired at around 8:45pm tonight (7 October 2019) across ITV, Channel 4 and Sky channels.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>\u2018Where to look\u2019 packs<\/strong><br \/>\nNHS RightCare has updated the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/rightcare\/products\/ccg-data-packs\/where-to-look-packs\/\">\u2018Where to look\u2019 packs<\/a> with 2017\/18 data.\u00a0 The packs cover the main NHS programme budgeting categories including cardiovascular disease, respiratory, mental health and cancer and are personalised for each CCG and Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP).\u00a0 New pathways include those for heart failure, influenza and groin hernia.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Critical care: end of life care<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine has published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ficm.ac.uk\/critical-futures-initiative\/care-end-life\">Care at the End of Life: a guide to best practice, discussion and decision-making in and around critical care<\/a>.\u00a0 This document provides recommendations for effective decision-making and resources for clinical teams and the general public.\u00a0 It hopes to encourage open discussions with patients and families enabling improved advance care and empower patients, carers and clinical teams to better engage in shared decision-making.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>NHS impact: health and wealth<\/strong><br \/>\nNHS Providers has published an infographic <a href=\"http:\/\/nhsproviders.org\/resource-library\/graphics\/the-nhs-driving-the-nations-health-and-wealth\">The NHS driving the nation&#8217;s health and wealth<\/a>.\u00a0 This infographic establishes why the NHS is important and shows how the NHS is an anchor institution in every local community, playing a fundamental role in health and supporting communities and the nation&#8217;s economic growth and productivity.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Women\u2019s mental health<\/strong><br \/>\nThe House of Commons Library has published a debate pack on <a href=\"https:\/\/researchbriefings.parliament.uk\/ResearchBriefing\/Summary\/CDP-2019-0213\">Women\u2019s mental health<\/a>.\u00a0 Although this is aimed at MPs, it contains background information, statistics, and parliamentary and press material, as well as suggested further reading which may be useful for anyone interested in this topic.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Health literacy survey<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Patient Information Forum has launched a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surveymonkey.co.uk\/r\/PIFhealthdigitalliteracy2019\">health literacy survey<\/a> which aims to explore how health literacy and digital literacy needs are being addressed and what is needed to provide equal access to information and support.\u00a0 The survey closes on 18 October 2019.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Pharmaceutical care delivery in acute care<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Specialist Pharmacy Service has published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sps.nhs.uk\/articles\/prioritising-pharmaceutical-care-delivery-in-the-acute-inpatient-setting-literature-review-summary\/\">Prioritising pharmaceutical care delivery in the acute inpatient setting: Literature review summary<\/a>. This literature review aims to help Pharmacy Managers who wish to develop tools and approaches to support the implementation of a clinical prioritisation strategy.
