The evidence ranges from hospital wards to general practice to mental health settings. There are also insights into new ways of mining and analysing big data, using online feedback and approaches to involving patients in making sense of feedback and driving improvements.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Hospital complaints<\/strong><br \/>\nHealthwatch has published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthwatch.co.uk\/report\/2020-01-15\/shifting-mindset-closer-look-complaints\">Shifting the mindset: a closer look at hospital complaints<\/a>.\u00a0 This report investigates how well NHS hospital trusts communicate about their work on complaints.\u00a0 It presents the findings of the investigation and set out recommendations for improvement in the complaints handling and management system at a national and a local level.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>SpeakUp2020<\/strong><br \/>\nHealthwatch has launched a new campaign <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthwatch.co.uk\/news\/2020-01-13\/speakup2020-share-your-views-and-help-make-nhs-better\">SpeakUp2020<\/a> to encourage people to speak up about what would make health and social care services\u202fin their communities better.\u00a0 The results will be shared with decision makers across the NHS, social care sector and Government to ensure that improvements to services are informed by people\u2019s experiences.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Fracture Liaison Service Database<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership has published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hqip.org.uk\/resource\/fracture-liaison-service-database-2019-annual-report\/#.XhcxFdL7RaQ\">Fracture Liaison Service Database \u2013 2019 Annual Report<\/a>.\u00a0 This annual report presents the results of analysis on secondary fracture prevention care received by patients 50 years and older in England and Wales between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2018. \u00a0It examines 11 key performance indicators deemed critical for a fracture liaison service to be effective and necessary for service improvement.
