It sets out nine major recommendations to bring much-needed help and support to those who have suffered as a result of these interventions, and to reduce the risk of avoidable harm from medicines and medical devices in the future.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Sussex Partnership leads the way in Attend Anywhere digital appointments &#8211; Digital Health<\/strong><br \/>\nThe trust rolled out remote appointments through Attend Anywhere software on March 16 and in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalhealth.net\/2020\/07\/sussex-partnership-leads-the-way-in-attend-anywhere-digital-appointments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the first nine weeks provided more than 10,000 appointments<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>COVID-19: guidance for sampling and for diagnostic laboratories, PHE (updated 7th July 2020)\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nInformation for clinical diagnostic laboratories regarding safety, sampling and packaging specimens associated with COVID-19. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/wuhan-novel-coronavirus-guidance-for-clinical-diagnostic-laboratories\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Update in this version<\/a> (published 7th July 2020): Updated section 3 of &#8216;laboratory investigations and sample requirements for diagnosis&#8217;.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Restoration and recovery of stroke services during the COVID-19 pandemic &#8211; British Association of Stroke Physicians \u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.basp.org\/supporting-stroke-services-during-the-covid-19-pandemic\/restoration-and-recovery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Restoration and recovery of stroke services during the COVID-19 pandemic<\/a> assesses the impact of rapid changes made across the whole stroke pathway \u2013 including community services \u2013 at the peak of the pandemic, outlining new ways of working which have been beneficial for both patients and staff and should be continued and extended. It also aims to highlight those changes which now need a closer look and prevent a return to less effective ways of working.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Triage guidelines for upper gastrointestinal physiology during restoration of services during the COVID-19 pandemic &#8211; BSG<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bsg.org.uk\/covid-19-advice\/triage-guidelines-for-upper-gastrointestinal-physiology-during-restoration-of-services-during-the-covid-19-pandemic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">This document<\/a> aims to provide guidance on the procedures for triaging patients referred for upper gastrointestinal (UGI) physiology investigations as services resume following the COVID-19 restrictions. Investigations include oesophageal manometry and 24-hour ambulatory reflux monitoring. The guidance applies to both new referrals as well as referrals made prior to the pandemic which require being re-triaged.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Central Alerting System: Publication of an Interim Clinical Commissioning Policy: Remdesivir for Patients Hospitalised with COVID-19 (adults and children of 12 years and older) &#8211; MHRA\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nFrom 3 July 2020, an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cas.mhra.gov.uk\/ViewAndAcknowledgment\/viewAlert.aspx?AlertID=103063\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">interim clinical commissioning policy<\/a> has been put in place to define routine access to remdesivir in the treatment of COVID-19 across the UK.
