{"id":1436,"date":"2015-01-13T10:13:28","date_gmt":"2015-01-13T10:13:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lihnnhs.info\/Sando\/?p=1436"},"modified":"2015-01-13T10:27:45","modified_gmt":"2015-01-13T10:27:45","slug":"knowledge-lert-for-tuesday-13th-january","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lihnnhs.info\/Sando\/2015\/01\/13\/knowledge-lert-for-tuesday-13th-january\/","title":{"rendered":"Knowledge @lert for Tuesday 13th January"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><strong>Knowledge for healthcare<\/strong><\/b><br \/>\nHealth Education England has published <a href=\"http:\/\/hee.nhs.uk\/work-programmes\/library-and-knowledge-services\/\">Knowledge for healthcare: a development framework for NHS library and knowledge services in England 2015-2020<\/a>.\u00a0 The framework articulates an ambitious vision through which the outputs and expertise of healthcare library and knowledge staff will underpin improvements in patient care and safety, experience and outcomes through informed decision-making, and the spread of innovation.\u00a0 Following on from this framework, Health Education England will develop an action plan in conjunction with stakeholders and partners.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>The A to Z of measurement \u2013 NHS Improving Quality\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nThis <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhsiq.nhs.uk\/media\/2581374\/a-z_measurement_glossary_q9.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">guide <\/a>aims to demystify the key terminology in the field of measurement by providing concise definitions.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>The One Hour Improvement Expert: How to Become an Improvement Measure Expert in 60 Minutes \u2013 NHS Improving Quality\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nThis <a href=\"https:\/\/prezi.com\/xvcdfn9wk5tb\/how-to-become-an-improvement-measure-expert-in-60-minutes-ah\/\" target=\"_blank\">guide <\/a>is designed to offer an interactive introduction to the topic of improvement measurement, and features signposting to experts and key resources. It is divided up into a series of sections giving staff simple steps they can take to improve their knowledge and apply it to the workplace. Topics include indicators, sourcing and collecting data, driver diagrams, variation, and analysis.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Evidence for the NHS Pay Review Body\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0Department of Health<\/strong><br \/>\nThese <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/evidence-for-pay-review-bodies-of-healthcare-professionals\" target=\"_blank\">documents <\/a>provide the Department of Health\u2019s evidence to the Review Body on Doctors\u2019 and Dentists\u2019 Remuneration (DDRB) and the NHS Pay Review Body (NHS PRB) for staff that are subject to the Agenda for Change pay system. The Government asked the pay review bodies to consider and make observations on the barriers and enablers within NHS employment contracts for the delivery of affordable seven day services.
