This event brought together experts with insight and experience of how to both raise the profile of patient experience in organisations, and how to measure and evaluate it in practice, with local NHS teams sharing their individual approaches. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rpharms.com\/support-pdfs\/patient-experience-report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">This report <\/a>summarises the discussions of the day and can be used as a resource to support the continued development of pharmacy approaches to evaluating and improving patients\u2019 experience of care.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b><strong>Better value in the NHS<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/b>The Kings Fund has published <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kingsfund.org.uk\/publications\/better-value-nhs\/summary\">Better value in the NHS \u2013 report summary<\/a>. This summary report calls on doctors, nurses and other staff to deliver better outcomes at lower costs.\u00a0 It provides examples where potential savings could still be made resulting in better outcomes and concludes that the challenge facing the NHS over the coming years is fundamentally about improving value rather than reducing costs.\u00a0 The full report will be available in due course.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b><strong>Health policy priorities for a new parliament<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/b>The Kings Fund has published <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kingsfund.org.uk\/publications\/articles\/health-policy-priorities-new-parliament\">Health policy priorities for a new parliament<\/a>. This report is a collection of essays, published jointly by the All-Party Parliamentary Health Group and The King\u2019s Fund, which maps out health priorities for the next parliament, as seen from the perspective of key stakeholders in the world of health.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b><strong>Health and wellbeing of NHS staff<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/b>NHS Employers has published <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhsemployers.org\/case-studies-and-resources\/2015\/07\/chesterfield-royal-hospital-nhs-ft-global-corporate-challenge\">Global Corporate Challenge \u2013 a health and wellbeing initiative with a difference<\/a>.\u00a0 This case study shows how Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust signed up to the Global Corporate Challenge and encouraged staff to take part in an initiative to raise awareness of their health and wellbeing.\u00a0 This case study details the steps taken to deliver the initiative, the resources needed, key challenges and top tips for other trusts looking to take on the Global Corporate Challenge.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b><strong>Mental health key facts app<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/b>The Royal College of Psychiatrists has launched a new app giving access to the College\u2019s mental health information leaflets, videos and podcasts.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rcpsych.ac.uk\/healthadvice\/moreinformation\/newrcpsychapp.aspx\">RCPsych Key Facts App<\/a> is available from iTunes and Android Play Store.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b><strong>Evidence summary: new medicines &#8211; Type 2 diabetes: insulin degludec\/liraglutide (Xultophy)<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/b>NICE has published a new medicines evidence summary, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nice.org.uk\/advice\/esnm60\/chapter\/Key-points-from-the-evidence\">Type 2 diabetes: insulin degludec\/liraglutide (Xultophy)<\/a> (ESNM60).\u00a0 Evidence summaries: new medicines&#8217; provide a summary of the published evidence for selected new medicines, or for existing medicines with new indications or formulations, that are considered to be of significance to the NHS.
