It can be limited by secondary legislation so it will only apply to some providers and information. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/consultations\/healthcare-providers-supplying-misleading-information\" target=\"_blank\">This consultation document<\/a> explains the proposed regulations to limit the reach of the offence to:<\/p>\n<div style=\"display: inline !important;\">\n<ul>\n<li>providers of NHS funded secondary care (such as hospitals)<\/li>\n<li>certain types of information that healthcare providers are required to publish or submit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This consultation seeks views on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>whether the suggested types of information should fall within the reach of the offence?<\/li>\n<li>whether proposed list captures the information that is important to the public, commissioners and regulators?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Monitor appoints medical director \u2013 Health Service Journal Article<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monitor has appointed Hugo Mascie-Taylor as its new medical director and executive director of patient and clinical engagement, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hsj.co.uk\/news\/exclusive-monitor-appoints-medical-director\/5070254.article?referrer=RSS#.U1knlFVdWOQ\" target=\"_blank\">HSJ has learned<\/a>.\u00a0Dr Mascie-Taylor is the former medical director at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, and has been working as a trust special administrator to determine the future of Mid Staffordshire Foundation Trust.
