We need to have a better understanding of what sustains this gap and what we can do to narrow it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p align=\"left\">Recently, 90 people from across the health and care system came together for an event run by The King\u2019s Fund, the Sign up to Safety campaign and NHS Improvement, to talk about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingsfund.org.uk\/events\/keeping-people-safer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">keeping people safer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Long term conditions data packs for CCGs<\/strong><br \/>\nNHS RightCare has published <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/rightcare\/intel\/cfv\/data-packs\/\">CCG data packs for long term conditions<\/a><\/strong>. These packs contain data on a number of disease areas and elements of care.\u00a0 The pack is split by stages along a long term conditions pathway and enables a local health economy to look at an element, for example disease detection or prescribing, across multiple disease areas.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">Impact of alcohol abuse on the emergency services<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nThe All-Party Parliamentary Group on Alcohol Harm has published <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alcoholconcern.org.uk\/the-frontline-battle\">The Frontline Battle<\/a><\/strong>. This report presents the results of an inquiry into the impact of alcohol on emergency services. It sets out the extent of the pressures and dangers of alcohol related problems placed on the emergency services and discusses the impact on staff, the impact on service provision and the effect on time and resources.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>UK maternity care<\/strong><br \/>\nMBRRACE-UK has published <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.npeu.ox.ac.uk\/mbrrace-uk\">Saving Lives, Improving Mothers\u2019 Care: Surveillance of maternal deaths in the UK 2012\u201314 and lessons learned to inform maternity care from the UK and Ireland Confidential Enquiries into Maternal Deaths and Morbidity 2009\u201314<\/a><\/strong>.
