The knowledge strategy was developed following an extended and open consultation process and incorporates responses from local government, national organisations and key partners.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>NICE Bites: pressure ulcers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The June 2014 NICE Bites bulletin from the North West Medicines Information Service provides summarised information on NICE guideline 179 &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.elmmb.nhs.uk\/newsletters-minutes\/nice-bites\/?assetdetesctl486923=54034\">Pressure ulcers: prevention and management<\/a>. It covers people of all ages at risk of, or who have, a pressure ulcer. The aim of this publication is to provide healthcare professionals with a clear and succinct summary of key prescribing points taken from NICE guidance.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Transitions at the end of life for older adults &#8211; patient, carer and professional perspectives: a mixed-methods study\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0National Institute for Health Research (NIHR)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The aim of this <a href=\"http:\/\/kingsfund.blogs.com\/health_management\/2014\/06\/transitions-at-the-end-of-life-for-older-adults-patient-carer-and-professional-perspectives-a-mixed-.html\" target=\"_blank\">study <\/a>was to understand the experiences, influences and consequences of transitions between settings for older adults at the end of life. It brings together data in one place and includes prescribing comparators, as well as looking at areas such as medication safety and utilisation of community pharmacy services.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/mo-dashboard.xlsx\" target=\"_blank\">Tool<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/ourwork\/pe\/mo-dash\/\" target=\"_blank\">Supporting information<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Prioritising person-centred care: the evidence\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0National Voices<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These <a href=\"http:\/\/kingsfund.blogs.com\/health_management\/2014\/06\/prioritising-person-centred-care-the-evidence.html\" target=\"_blank\">resources <\/a>have been designed to make it easy for commissioners and providers to access, understand and make use of the best evidence for various approaches to involving people in their health and healthcare. The booklets draw on information from 779 systematic reviews worldwide.
