With this information you can use coaching techniques such as deep listening and asking the correct questions to create and sustain a developmental alliance, move forward positively and create accountability.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>&#8216;Then what&#8230;?&#8217; special inquiry\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0Healthwatch England<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"mtext\">\n<div class=\" last\">\n<p>This special <a href=\"http:\/\/www.healthwatch.co.uk\/thenwhat\/your-story\" target=\"_blank\">inquiry <\/a>aims to investigate the experience of people who are discharged from hospitals or care homes without adequate support in place. The aim of the inquiry is to gain a deeper understanding of what happens to people who experience \u2018unsafe discharge\u2019 from a hospital, nursing or care home, or mental health setting in England and how it was that they were able to fall through the gaps.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Local involvement in health service decision making<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Healthwatch has warned that it fears that\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.healthwatch.co.uk\/news\/local-people-being-cut-out-decision-making-about-their-health-services-warns-watchdog\">local people are being cut out of decision making about their health services<\/a>.\u00a0A recent straw poll of the Healthwatch network suggested at least a third of local Healthwatch across 152 areas in England are concerned about being able to influence the public engagement activities of their CCGs. The Watchdog fears that GPs and other health professionals responsible for running Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) are forming joint decision making bodies, known as committees in common, to make decisions on health services at a regional level. However, these new committees, or \u2018Super CCGs\u2019, are circumventing the local scrutiny and accountability measures put in place by the Government&#8217;s health reforms.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Exercise medicine<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine has published\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fsem.co.uk\/media-resources\/publications\/a-fresh-approach-in-practice.aspx\">A Fresh Approach in Practice<\/a>. It is aimed at CCGs tackling health problems caused by physical inactivity. It outlines how effective exercise medicine can be used in tackling chronic diseases and conditions related to physical inactivity and common musculoskeletal conditions, whilst reducing referrals for costly procedures and services.
