The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence clinical guidelines recommend Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as the <a href=\"https:\/\/cks.nice.org.uk\/insomnia#:~:text=Offer%20cognitive%20behavioural%20therapy%20for,cognitive%20therapy%20and%20relaxation%20training.\">first-line treatment for chronic insomnia<\/a>. The issue is that a rise in cases leads to longer waiting lists, or patients self medicating. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However digital CBT may be the answer. One intervention &#8211; <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bighealth.com\/sleepio?utm_source=HSJ_Column&amp;utm_medium=press&amp;utm_campaign=2020_Q3_NHS_Campaign\" target=\"_blank\">Sleepio<\/a> &#8211; provides digital CBT for insomnia from the click of a button.
