Local plans for local people: communicating change – NHS Confederation
NHS England have produced a guide for local areas to use, which is intended to support them in involving and engaging with local people in the development of Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs).

“Most areas” should publish a version of their sustainability and transformation plan by the end of the year, according to national guidance due to be published today.


Social care for older people: home truths –  Nuffield Trust and The King’s Fund
This report, published jointly with The King’s Fund, looks at the current state of social care services for older people in England, through a combination of national data and interviews with local authorities, NHS and private providers, Healthwatch and other groups. It considers the impact of cuts in local authority spending on social care providers and on older people, their families and carers. Alongside this work, we were commissioned by the Richmond Group of Charities to interview older people about their experiences of social care.

Funding competition: antimicrobial resistance – Department of Health 
Open to any UK organisation, Innovate UK are delivering a competition on behalf of the Department of Health to invest up to £4 million to support the UK’s capability to conduct research into antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
