Pharmacological management of migraine
The Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network has published SIGN 155: Pharmacological management of migraine: a national clinical guideline.  This guideline provides recommendations based on current evidence for best practice in the acute and prophylactic management of adults with migraine using pharmacological therapies or devices. The focus is on adults with acute migraine and preventative treatment in patients with episodic or chronic migraine and medication-overuse headache.


A&E Dashboard
NHS Improvement has published National A&E Dashboard: user guide.  This guide is intended for anyone using the A&E dashboard for analysing SITREP data, including Providers, NHSE users, NHSI users and various Arm’s-Length Bodies who have access to dashboard.


GMC to accept new language competency test 
The General Medical Council (GMC) will now routinely accept the Occupational English Test (OET) as proof of English language skills for overseas doctors who apply to work in the UK.


Revalidation to be rolled out to pharmacy professionals 
From April 2018, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will be required to go through revalidation in order to renew their professional registration.


CCG Improvement and Assessment Framework
NHS England has published Improvement and Assessment Framework – conflicts of interest indicator: submission process for CCGs.  This document provides information on the conflicts of interest indicator in the framework and the process for completing and returning the self-certification submissions, including updated templates.
