Responsibility for prescribing between primary and secondary/tertiary care – NHS England 
This guidance aims to provide clarity on the responsibilities of all professionals involved in commissioning and prescribing across primary, secondary and tertiary care, and to provide support in developing shared care agreements and in the transfer of care.


The health, safety and wellbeing of shift workers in health and social care environments

This guidance sets out how shift work can impact on staff health and safety and how organisations and individuals should manage any risks on staff wellbeing.


Counter-terrorism in the NHS: evaluating Prevent Duty safeguarding in the NHS –  
University of Warwick 
The Prevent Duty is a component of the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015 which requires health care providers to train their staff about the signs of radicalisation and how to report patients or staff to safeguarding teams. This report looks at how Midlands health care providers undertook their safeguarding responsibilities under the Prevent Duty.


Implementing seven day hospital services – NHS Improvement
These case studies, developed in collaboration with individual trusts, will help providers overcome some of the barriers to implementing seven day hospital services.


Patient safety incidents: supporting staff
NHS Improvement has published A just culture guide.  This guide encourages managers to treat staff involved in a patient safety incident in a consistent, constructive and fair way.  It supports a conversation about whether a staff member involved in a patient safety incident requires specific individual support or intervention to work safely.


Special measures for finance reasons
NHS Improvement has published Special measures for finance reasons: guidance for trusts.  This guidance describes how special measures work for financial reasons.  A list of the trusts currently in special measures is also available.
