Brexit: NHS managers warn about impact of no deal – BBC News
The group representing hospitals and ambulance services in England has warned of a lack of “contingency planning” to deal with the impact of a no-deal Brexit on the health service.


NHS trusts lost almost 10,000 patient records last year – NHE | NEWS

Adult safeguarding
The Royal College of Nursing has published Adult safeguarding: roles and competencies for health care staff.  This intercollegiate document has been designed to guide professionals and the teams they work with to identify the competencies they need in order to support individuals to receive personalised and culturally sensitive safeguarding. It sets out minimum training requirements along with education and training principles.


Measles in Europe
The World Health Organisation has announced over 41,000 children and adults in the WHO European Region have been infected with measles in the first 6 months of 2018.  The total number for this period far exceeds the 12-month totals reported for every other year this decade.


NHS Digital remit
The Department of Health and Social Care has published The Department of Health and Social Care remit to NHS Digital for 2018 to 2019.  This report sets out the context in which NHS Digital operates and the objectives it expects to see in NHS Digital’s business plan.
