Update on shielding period – NHS Employers 
The Secretary of State has announced that people who have been identified as clinically extremely vulnerable will need to continue to shield until 31 March 2021.

NHS trusts are expected to appoint a wellbeing guardian to their executive board to drive organisational expectations, monitor performance, and provide reassurance that the organisation is a healthy workplace.

Sets out how health and care systems should support the safe and timely discharge of people who no longer need to stay in hospital.


Maternity and neonatal safety champions toolkit – NHS England
This toolkit aims to provides information and resources to support safety champions to develop strong partnerships, promote positive professional cultures, and support the delivery of the safest care possible through best practice.


Malnutrition and nutritional care of Covid-19 patients in hospitals during the first wave of the pandemic – British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BAPEN) 
BAPEN undertook a survey of hospital based healthcare professionals to better understand the nutritional care and challenges of patients with Covid-19 they faced during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic. The survey was designed to investigate challenges in delivering nutritional care in ICU and HDU, and on general wards. It covers issues identifying malnutrition risk, the barriers to delivering good nutritional care on the wards, and nutritional strategies, as well as particular challenges relating to discharge.
