Talking Therapies reference guide available

The NHS Talking Therapies programme team has received a number of requests for clarity on the NICE-recommended treatment options for the various problem descriptors treated in NHS Talking Therapies services. In particular, there have been appeals for a ‘one-stop shop’, something that clinicians can immediately refer to in order to guide the right treatment option without having to refer to separate pieces of NICE guidance. This information is provided within the NHS Talking Therapies manual, but given the breadth of information in the manual, finding the relevant detail can be time consuming. In response, the team has worked alongside Clinical Advisors and our Expert Advisory Group to develop a quick reference guide to the specific psychological interventions set out in NICE guidelines for each problem descriptor treated within NHS Talking Therapies, attached and available on the FutureNHS platform. If you have any questions about the Treatment Packages resource, please contact the NHS Talking Therapies programme team via england.mentalhealth@nhs.net.
