Gosall Library

LGBTQ+ Book Collection

The Gosall Library has invested in an LGBTQ+ book collection, which is available to view in the Gosall Library and via on online catalogue. The range includes a mix of textbooks, fiction and non-fiction texts to support staff and patients.

Some of the titles include:

  • TRANS: Exploring Gender Identity and Gender Dysphoria

Women’s Prize for Fiction 2021

Longlist announced

The Women’s Prize for Fiction is the UK’s most prestigious annual book award celebrating and honouring fiction by women. The Prize celebrates excellence, originality and accessibility in writing by women in English from throughout the world. The 2021 longlist was announced in March, with the winner being announced on the 7th July.

Library Opening Hours- Easter

Please be aware that the Lantern Centre- including the Gosall Library – will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday (2nd April to the 5th April inclusive).

King’s Fund Book Club

Bertie’s Book Group- March

Bertie’s Book Group Group is a book club that focuses on fiction that touches on health or medical-related theme. The group meets on the third Thursday on every month at The King’s Fund Library; accessible by their website: https://www.kingsfund.org.uk/search?search=book+group. To mark the International Transgender Day of Visibility in March, this month the group will be discussing Trumpet by Jackie Kay.
